EDUCATION : BEFORE AND AFTER INDEPENDENCE (RACE)

Malaysia’s education had through many phases of revolutionizes. For after many decades, we still trying and trying to fulfil the education with the best tools, equipments and technologies for better education for each students in Malaysia.

If we can see from past and present, there’s a huge contrast in education. This is because, education in past still under shadow of the colonization of British.

Education before independence and now are not the same. 

All race can be in one school; no need to be separate
anymore

In past, we have to sit according to the race. For instance, Malay people will only study about the religion(Islam) and other stuff. For Chinese people, they will learn only from the book that had been printed by CHINA. And same goes to Indian people; only learn things from India.

In past, their educations are limited. All the education must be checked by the British first before they can learn. This is why they are a little bit behind from the modernization.

Things are different after independence. Educations are more enhanced rather than the past. There are no different schools, learning. Now, Malaysia has many different schools such as:

1.    Sekolah Kebangsaan

2.    Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan - SJK(c)

3.    Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan – SJK (t)

Even though the schools are different, but they learning the same thing. Same education, same methods, same technologies. Now, educations are under control from Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia (Ministry of Education).
